Photography Contest

My photography page on Facebook reached 100 fans the other day! Yay! I thought I would celebrate by having a contest. So in honor of having such amazing fans I will be giving away a FREE session plus 50% off of prints!!!!

Here is the contest:

Father's Day is June 19th & I thought we could show our dad's how much we love them by posting our favorite picture of them with you, your family, or just him. Then tell me a little about your Dad and why you think he's great. Let your kids get in on the fun too & have them tell you why they love their Daddy so much:) If there is no Dad in the house then you can choose someone who has truly meant something to you that you want to share with us. Email your picture & story to mrskjernigan@yahoo.com. I will be accepting pictures until Friday June 3rd. On June 5th voting will begin. You will have 2 weeks to get your family & friends to "Like" my page and then "Like" your photo. The photo with the most "Likes" at the end of the day on June 19th at 12:01am wins!

New Life

Yesterday I had the pleasure of taking pictures of a teeny tiny baby!!! He was 6lbs when he was born just a little over a week ago:) I am used to babies that are around 8lbs when they are born! I am still new at taking newborns & I am learning as I go. So here are a few from yesterdays session...

I enjoy the challenge of these sweet peas. It makes me think & work hard to get great shots. So if you know anyone out there that is getting ready to have a baby & they would like to have photos taken of their sweet baby I would love to do it. Waiting

I have been waiting on the UPS man to get here all day. Frustrating not knowing when he will arrive. Friday he was here by 3:25. That is when he left his little note. 15 min after I left the house. It is now 5:25. Not sure why I thought he would be here around the same time today but I did. Maybe because that is around the time he comes regularly. Silly me to think they have a particular schedule. The house is cleaned, last loads of laundry are going, dishes are done, photos edited so now I sit outside typing this little post listening to my kids play. It is a beautiful day out and I'm thankful to be alive. So I must say that I am thankful to be waiting on the UPS man. This means that I am alive, well & happy to be with my kids.

Hang on....okay I'm back. I had to get the mosquito spray. Getting bit up. Yippee!!! Here he comes! It is a sub driver. No wonder he was so late! My day can move forward now:) Thanks for reading my rant:) I hope you all had a blessed & happy day!

Super Why is 4!!!

Super Why turned 4 on the 26th. He had a week long celebration. Well, it seemed like it anyways! This was the first year that we celebrated with just a friends party and he had a blast running around with them. Then he had a get together at his grandmother's ranch where we fished and ran around with some family. And finally we celebrated with the other side on his actual birthday with his aunt. They share their birthdays:) So all of these parties meant cakes...3 of them. Good thing I have been taking cake & decorating classes:)
